Alexander to Have Surgery on Knee

Posted by nickwagoner on October 29, 2010 – 9:09 PM

- Rams WR Danario Alexander is having surgery on his left knee today after suffering torn meniscus during the workout.

- The surgery and injury is expected to keep Alexander out two to four weeks. With a bye coming next week, it could cost him as little as one game depending on how quickly he recovers.

- Alexander injured the knee on a pass play during team drills as he turned to catch a pass thrown behind him. He landed awkwardly and hobbled off the field.

- With Alexander out, the Rams have Laurent Robinson, Brandon Gibson, Danny Amendola and Mardy Gilyard as available wideouts this weekend.

There is absolutely no way Delaney Walker makes that catch. Smith was not even throwing it to Walker. He was just trying not to take a sack. And because the new rules don’t let the defense hit a QB above the waist he could not get wrapped up properly. When is the NFL going to stop letting referees decide games and let the players do it on the field? This is a travesty.
