Statement from Billy Devaney
Posted by on January 3, 2012 – 12:24 AM- The Rams and GM Billy Devaney parted ways on Monday morning. But Devaney, ever the class act, took a moment to release a statement just moments ago.
- Obviously, the results weren’t what Devaney had hoped to get here but for those that were fortunate enough to be around him, I promise you we all learned a lot and had a lot of fun having him around. He will be missed. Best of luck to him in everything he does going forward.

I think, it would be really cool (old school) to see the Rams pick Jon Gruden to be their new GM. And make, Jeff Fisher their new head coach. With, Steven Spagnolo as defense coach. With Billy D. as the highest paid Scout in the league. I would also keep offensive coordinator Josh Daniels. I’m sure the Rams ownership wants to make a winning team and winning organization. I’m sure Mr. Kroenke has fully intends on doing so. He has the money, and the power to make something like that happen. I think it would be great, to see all these minds and hearts come together and make something special out of the Rams. I do believe, something special could really happen from a great group like that coming together would be awesome. What a team of serious pros. that would make. With a couple or a few short years this team would be something to recognize and see grow to be a dominate force in the league to come. Like they say from the ashes..

Good luck to you Billy. Always very approachable at all times for fans and like a class act you are showing grace in a tough time for you and family.
Sucks it didn’t work out with you and Coach Spagnuolo but I’m sure you both won’t be on the street for long.
Thanks for giving us Bradford, Long, JL and quinn.

I hate these so called smart phones. First, I do believe that Billy Devaney and Steve Spagnolo. Were on the right track. The short season and all the injuries this team had to endure lead to their demise. The team and most of the fans where behind them. Winning, is the name of this game. But, in all fairness. They were developing, a good foundation to build on. The new GM and new Coaching Staff. Will have you and Mr. Spag. to thank later.. Good luck to you too. Billy. I know you are a Class Act. As well..
