Wednesday Injury Report

Posted by nickwagoner on October 3, 2012 – 7:59 PM

- The Rams and Cardinals each went through walk through/practices this morning. The Rams will have another tonight before tomorrow night’s 7:20 kickoff at the Edward Jones Dome. Those walk throughs were closed to the media but the teams released their (lengthy) injury reports on Wednesday afternoon.

- No real surprises on the Rams’ list. It looks like this:

Out: DE Eugene Sims (head) and T Rodger Saffold (knee)

Questionable: RB Steven Jackson (groin), T Wayne Hunter (knee), DT Matt Conrath (knee) and S Matt Daniels (hamstring)

Probable: WR Brandon Gibson (knee), WR Danny Amendola (ankle) and DE William Hayes (knee)

- Arizona’s list is even longer and has some important pieces with up in the air statuses. Here’s their list:

Questionable: LB Quentin Groves (hamstring), CB Michael Adams (hamstring), DT Darnell Dockett (hamstring), TE Jim Dray (knee), TE Todd Heap (knee) LB Paris Lenon (knee), RB LaRod Stephens-Howling (hip), DT Dan Williams (foot) and QB John Skelton (ankle).

Probable: LB O’Brien Schofield (knee), FB Anthony Sherman (hamstring), G Adam Snyder (elbow), S Rashad Johnson (hamstring), S James Sanders (calf), S Adrian Wilson (ankle/groin) and P Dave Zastudil (right calf).

Thursday’s Game to be Televised Locally, News and Notes

Posted by nickwagoner on October 3, 2012 – 12:33 AM

- The Rams just wrapped up their Tuesday practice, starting and ending a little later to help get some more rest on a short week and to acclimate to playing an evening game.

- First things first, the Rams have met the requirements of a sell out to have the game televised locally in the St. Louis area. It will appear on NFL Network Thursday night at 7:20 CST from the Edward Jones Dome.

- The Rams will go through a bit of combination of practices tomorrow with a walk through and a Friday practice rolled into one. After that, they will go to the local hotel they stay in the night before games and go through meetings tomorrow night and Thursday afternoon.

- RB Steven Jackson got some light work in Tuesday’s practice and seems to be on pace to play again this week.

- Ditto for T Wayne Hunter, who has been battling knee and ankle issues.

- It seems the only player who won’t go this week in addition to T Rodger Saffold (knee) is DE Eugene Sims. He suffered a mild concussion against Seattle and did not practice again Tuesday. On a short week, it’s logical to assume he won’t be available.

- With so much pain and soreness and a quick turnaround, the Rams had a team yoga session on Monday.

- Of note for Arizona, DT Darnell Dockett continues to be limited by a hamstring injury in practice. He did not play last week against Miami.

- That’ll do it for today. Be sure to check out the notebook story on the homepage (the corners are featured) for more information from today’s work.

- Thanks for reading.
